Shipping Delays

This year had been a year of not normal, sadly. And it seems holiday shipments is also a victim of the not normal year. We have been processing our orders as normal, but the shipment carriers have been swamped. Many of our packages are not even showing up as picked up until two days after they have been picked up! What should be a couple of days transit times has turned into weeks. We know this can be frustrating for you, especially when your shipment is a gift. I know it's frustrating to click a tracking link and there not be any progress with your package, but after we process and package your shipment it is out of our control when you will receive our item. I think right now we will all have to practice a little grace. Thank you for your business and fingers crossed that all packages arrive in time! 

International Shipping

We have always offered International shipping to a handful of countries, but we noticed a quirk in our system a couple months ago. Light items, like labels, coasters, pins, keychains and such were returning really HIGH rates. After much back and forth, we discovered the issue and finally a fix is available! It should be installed on our website by the end of this week. We sincerely hope that if you had tried placing an order on our website for something light and then looked at the shipping and thought "what the h#&^" that you give it another try.

2017 Oktoberfest Mug

The new Oktoberfest Steins and Mugs are on order and as soon as we receive the final pricing we will have them for pre-order! 

3-14-2017 Hours

If you own a television or radio you may be aware of the Nor'easter that is headed our way. Due to the forecast of blizzard conditions for our area, we have decided to close on Tuesday, March 14th. Be safe. 

2-9-2017 hours

2013 Munich Oktoberfest Mugs and Steins

The Official Oktoberfest mugs and steins are on the way, yeah! This year we decided to try the .5 liter mug also. The .5 liter size is identical to the 1 liter version, it is just a little more practical for a drinking mug. Although I know many of you use the one liter version just for that. Also, we will be getting for the first time the matching 2013 Oktoberfest mini mug. I am most stoked about that since I collect minis. I do not have photos for either the .5 liter or mini yet, but I promise as soon as I do I will get them on our website. As for the mug and stein, they are both available for PRE-ORDER from our website at this time.

Say it ain't so

Wubby and I have had this miniature bottle on our desk for as long as we can remember. (I collect minis) It slowly has been evaporating, as they all do over time. But the name of this peeked my interest, Jacquin's Forbidden Fruit Liqueur. So, I opened it and took a small tasting.  To say this was delicious was doing this liqueur a disservice, it's just so damn yummy! This had to go on the "grocery list" for the liquor store. Imagine my disappointment when I found out Jacquin's is no longer made. Heartbreaking doesn't cover it. I have decided to savor it, to give it a long slow death. And maybe by the time I finish it, someone out there will start making this truly fabulous liqueur goodness again.

New Year, New Beer

Ah, the joys of being in this business sometimes, which means FREE BEER. We were gifted some samples of some new brews. And if we keep any of our New Years Resolution, it will be to enjoy as much beer as possible. Actually, I just fibbed, that is more of our motto than a resolution. Today's offering is Wolvers Alta Gracia Coffee Porter. I am anxious to try this Vermont craft brew. Here's hoping tomorrow always offers you a beer!

Tis the season

Things are going very well here at Sam's and we have a lot of great customers to thank for that, thank you! This holiday season found us with a new website and a new shipping ideology, which has helped us keep up better than ever. But as with a lot of new things there have been a few hiccups. Luckily small hiccups. :) We have switched shipping to FedEx, I hated to leave UPS at this time, but we had a couple issues with some customer packages and they made it seem like they didn't want to work with a small business. By adding FedEx, we also we able to add a cheaper shipping option, FedEx SmartPost (it goes by USPS Parcel Post on our website). It is a hybrid of FedEx and the Post Office, with your mail carrier making the delivery. This way, we have tracking information from one the package is picked up until it is delivered. Which is something we did not have with the Post Office. The only hiccup with the service thus far is it seems a little slow for some areas. Ironically, it took 4 days for a package to get from PA to AZ and 4 days for a package to get from Lancaster, PA, to West Chester, PA. So please keep this in mind when placing your order. If it is a time sensitive delivery, you may want to pay a little extra for a little faster service.

Frankenstorm cometh

Like the rest of the country, we really do not know what to expect from the coming storm. If things get really bad, I assume, we probably won't be able to make it into the shop. If things are only slightly bad, well, I have a JEEP; I will make it into the shop. :) That being said, I do want to remind everyone, just as the weather affects us it also affects the delivery schedule of your packages.  Obviously, if they are cancelling flights, that means FedEx won't be flying either. Also, power outages affect ground deliveries. So, let's not panic if something is a couple days late, ok?  The most important thing is we are all safe and those we love are safe also!

Minor Hiccup

Thanks to a kind customer, I have become aware that our site, on some web browsers, is not letting body colors to be selected for our tap handles. In fact, it says they are not in stock, they are it's lying. :) For some reason it works on Firefox, but not IE9 or Chrome or Safari. I apologize for the inconvenience.

New name, new website, new design

We are om the process of moving our website from Sam's Steins & Collectibles to our new name Sam's Man Cave. It will still have the same great items, if I do say so myself. :) You may notice a couple images are not quite right, I do apologize for that and I am working as hard as possible to get everything just right. The other bad news, is if you created an account on our old website, it will not be transferring over. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Fall is upon us

With fall right around the corner, the mind turns to the simpler things in life, like FOOTBALL! At time when families can become enemies for at least four quarters. I know, somehow I raised a Packer fan. I am not sure how that happened, but like any family, we trash talk. :) Luckily, I am queen of our man cave and I get to decorate as I please. It's surprising how just a couple of accents can dress up any area and let a little of that team spirit sneak in a home. I am hoping, by seeing Eagles signs daily, I can slowly woo my son to towards the light. Our most popular man cave items include our sport team tap handles. Such as the Philadelphia Eagles Tap. We are finding that people are loving this for a quick gift also. And don't worry if you don't have that keg just yet, it isn't that hard to find or DIY a stand, to add to your team's shrine.

My Goodness.

Ah sweet Guinness. Many people say that Guinness is too heavy of a beer for them. I say it's quality not quantity. :) Besides the allure of this delicious brew we also have their inspiring advertising. I love their Gilroy advertisements and have quite a few of his prints throughout my own house. It's a wonderfully eclectic design that really isn't overwhelming noticeably a beer advertisement. It's quality not quantity.

2012 Official Oktoberfest Steins & Mugs

It's that time of year again, time to celebrate the Oktoberfest in true German fashion. Now available for pre-order the 2012 Oktoberfest Mug and the 2012 Oktoberfest Stein. This years theme makes this stein great for the continuing collector or the new collector. This also makes an excellent drinking mug, I mean that is what they are designed for. :) We personally collect this series and what I always appreciate is they are all the same style but the artwork makes them very varied and interesting.
